Therapeutic Approach
I believe that every client is unique and, as such, my therapeutic approach is tailored to suit the needs of each person.
Some examples of the types of approaches that may be incorporated into our therapy include:
- Solution-Focused: Focusing on the desired outcomes instead of on symptoms and issues;
- Strengths-Based: Recognizing that you have the ability to work through challenges you are currently facing;
- Structural: Exploring the relationships between individuals and their environments;
- Cognitive Behavioural: Understanding, and then challenging, the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours;
- Dialectical Behavioural: Developing skills to help you manage emotional crises, tolerate distress, improve relationships, and use mindfulness to help you feel more ‘in the moment’.
